Septarian, also known as Dragon Stone, is a sedimentary stone dated to the Cretaceous Age and composed of septa (plural from the Latin term septum which means, "enclosure") of calcite, aragonite, and other organic matter, which have been encapsulated in limestone. Energetically, Septarian is used for rooting, grounding, and balancing energy fields, and has associations with the lower 3 chakras. Spiritually, Septarian is considered to be a protector, as well as conduit for enhancing connection with Mother Earth.
